"Life really is a pony farm," laughs Albert Müllerschön, taking a drag on what feels like his hundredth hand-rolled cigarette of the morning. "Why? Because a pony farm reflects real life, with all its diverse people, rich and poor, arguments and reconciliations, death and birth – it's all there!" From the first turnout to the first tournament after the Corona break, right through to the hay harvest, this documentary tells the stories of the people who have grown attached to the horse farm. There's his partner Isabelle, who also competes in tournaments; a young equestrian influencer with over 200,000 Instagram followers; a couple who prefer to simply walk the horses instead of riding; and an animal communicator who also talks to the horses. Albert Müllerschön's unique approach allows him to forge a sense of community from a diverse group of horse owners and riders.
