Development of the New Normal Medical Service for Seamless Comprehensive Stroke Care, Thailand

Stroke should be considered as an important public health issue, as it is one of the top causes of death in Thailand. This particular sickness becomes fatal because of the delayed access to the Stroke fast track service, lack of public awareness and unclear referrals to the specialist. To address this problem, the Neurological Institute of Thailand began a project: Development of the New Normal Medical Service for Seamless Stroke Care. It connects with systemic patient care and responds to diversity of the areas, reduces inequalities, emphasizes equitable and inclusive access to the health services. The operation starts from top to bottom for alert/awareness of stroke. Providing modern technology for developing the patient referral system of Telemedicine and increasing access to advanced medical services by Mechanical Thrombectomy.
