You can support my work and download this on Bandcamp: https://synthetictheory.bandcamp.com/... This is a live modular synth performance diving into a dark, textured breakbeat ride. This is my first upload after reaching one thousand subscribers. Thank you all so much for the support, it really means a lot! ### ### ### Patch notes: The rhythmic backbone is driven by the OhmForce Bohm, now paired with the Groove Expander. This lets me dial in distortion on top of the kick, giving it extra weight and character. Noise-based percussion comes from the Befaco Noise Plethora running through Percall. A nice combo to create hats, cymbals, and gritty textures that can be tweaked live. The main voices are built from Vhikk X, Basimilus Iteritas Alia, and a multisampled piano from the Bitbox Micro, forming the core melodic content, while the Erica Synths Bassline provides a solid analog low-end foundation. The Cosmotronic Messor is used for sidechain compression, feeding the kick into it to create some movement. Everything is sequenced via the Hermod+, modulated with the xp32, and mixed down through the Bluebox with additional delay and reverb. Visually, I've started experimenting with TouchDesigner to add audio-reactive elements to the performance. Still exploring this, but there are a lot of exciting possibilities here. Thanks again for being here and supporting the journey! ### ### ### Gear Used: Drums: • Ohmforce Bohm + Groove Expander • Befaco Noise Plethora + Percall Modulation: • Squarp Instruments xp32 Sequencing: • Squarp Instruments Hermod+ Voices: • Forge TME Vhikk X • Basimilus Iteritas Alia • 1010music Bitbox Micro • Erica Synths Bassline Effects: • Bluebox Delay/Reverb Mixing & Dynamics: • 1010music Bluebox • Cosmotronic Messor • Make Noise XOH
