SMT5V Sempiternal Vengeance Mod: True Lucifer (Hard Mode)

Sempiternal Vengeance Mod: https://gamebanana.com/mods/566484 Alright, coming from Demi-fiend and inheriting Kingslayer (new passive that gives universal 20% damage boost for MC) from it, I was worried I basically just invalidated Trucifer for this playthrough. However, Spooks did not disappoint. This fight was still quite challenging in the mod. Phase 1: Lucifer is pretty easy to deal with in terms of survivability since all he will do is single target barion skills at this time which Bowl of Hygieia can easily counter. Do keep in mind however that he also has a unique passive here called Lightbringer which not only acts as a Safeguard here but also allows any magic spells to crit. Ideally you will want your lineup to at least resist as many elements as they can to prevent crits. The star summons themselves have not really changed much and are still pretty easy to take care of, so you can definitely take a bit of time in the round to take advantage on Lucifer's temporary weaknesses if you wish (especially if you're running Moonlight Frost). Phase 2: Phase 2 is probably the hardest part of the fight overall. Phase 2 replaces Lightbringer with the passive Event Horizon, which acts and Safeguard and DOUBLES his crit rate. This is important because of phase 2 Lucifer's passive which will return a demon to the stock if they are hit with a crit. You can get put into a pretty bad spot if he decides to crit someone at the wrong time. The big moves you'll need to be careful of in this regard are his basic attack (has Pierce properties), Freikugel and Gaea Rage. Freikugel and Gaea Rage are probably his most dangerous moves overall. Freikugel already has a pretty substantial crit rate by itself which gets boosted further by Event Horizon, while Gaea Rage has a BP of around 450 and is pretty tough to survive without Bowl of Hygieia. Last thing I'd like to note in terms of Phase 2's moveset is Holy Crucifixion which got buffed to being a party-wide move, meaning that it will fully debilitate your entire team. This phase won't really ramp up in difficulty until you get him to around the 50% threshold (he has 100k HP in this phase) where he will start using all the dangerous moves like Contempt of God and Gaea Rage. Phase 3 While this phase isn't harder than phase 2, it can still give you a bit of trouble if your lineup is unprepared. Like phase 1, he will have Lightbringer, but instead of having normal barion spells, he will have the "of God" spells (now each one has 300 BP). Again, your team lineup should ideally resist most of the 4 main elements to mitigate the chance of your lineup being overwhelmed by critical spells because these spells can do massive damage even with Bowl of Hygieia active. Then there's the matter of the Morning Star: it won't be too much trouble to take it out especially if you're running a Moonlight Frost build, but do take advantage of Lucifer's myriad of weaknesses while it is active since he has around 60k HP for this phase. Now for me, all that's left is Satan and Masakado, but I'll probably take a bit of a break from the mod before thne. Time for me to get on Lunar Remastered.
