Iran states that it has delivered a decisive response to US forces in the Middle East in retaliation for American aggression. The Iranian military issued a statement announcing that the Iranian Navy and Aerospace Force jointly launched a retaliatory strike against eight key US military bases in the region—including the Ali Al Salem Air Base in Kuwait—between 2:00 AM and 3:00 AM (local time) on the night of June 27–28. Additionally, the Iranian military targeted the headquarters of the US Navy's 5th Fleet in Bahrain. The IRGC stated that ballistic missiles and drones were utilized in this operation. The Iranian military claims the strike was highly precise, resulting in the destruction of US military installations.
