After leaving the company in 2021, she enrolled in the Journalism course at Waseda University's Graduate School of Political Science. Her master's thesis, "Provisional Releasees: What I Want to Tell the Japanese People Now," won the Dean's Award from the Graduate School of Political Science. While feeling a sense of crisis regarding the overemphasis on "empathy and narrative," she explores ways to unravel "hatred," conducting interviews both domestically and internationally.
