While outside they sell a picture of a perfect Cartagena, inside, the reality remains marked by neglect. In this second part, I continue my tour of one of the city's most traditional areas, showing zones affected by the lack of sewage systems, disorder, filth, and spaces in deplorable condition that have been waiting for attention for years. Among butcher shops, dilapidated hallways, and a forgotten second floor, thousands of people continue to work and live their daily lives while tourism continues to grow around them. This is also Cartagena, a side that is unsettling, shocking, and that many prefer to ignore.
