I Visited Redang Island in Monsoon Season 🇲🇾 (I Was the Only Tourist)

I traveled to Redang Island in Malaysia during monsoon season… and ended up being the only tourist on the entire island. 🌴 Almost everything was closed. No supermarkets. Empty beaches. Abandoned resorts. When I arrived, I had to bring all my food from the mainland because nothing was open. That night, high tide nearly flooded my tent and I had to move last minute. The next day, I explored deserted buildings, hiked through the jungle, spotted monitor lizards, ran from monkeys, and discovered beaches completely covered in coral and trash. Visiting Redang Island during the off-season was one of the strangest and most unique travel experiences I’ve ever had — beautiful, eerie, and unforgettable.
