1 in 3 Aussie households have experienced food insecurity in the last year
On Wednesday the 5th of November, Nicolette Boele MP asked the Treasurer: "Foodbank Australia’s 2025 Hunger Report reveals 1 in 3 Australian households have experienced food insecurity in the last 12 months. That means 3.5 million Australian families could be going without food tonight. Foodbank has a proposal that would make it cheaper for food producers to donate excess food to those in need, reduce food waste, and save taxpayer dollars. Will the Treasurer commit to legislating a National Food Donation Tax Incentive which would achieve those aims?"
