The final episode of Season 4 features none other than the legendary vidwan Shri Madurai TN Seshagopalan, Padma Bhushan awardee and Sangita Kalanidhi. Endowed with a rich voice and remarkable creativity, his versatile style in raga delineation, rendition of krithis, execution of swaraprasthara and uniqueness in ‘Ragam–Tanam-Pallavi’ exposition has received copious appreciation from his peers, press and music lovers all over the world. As a brilliant composer of Krithis, Thillanas in Carnatic and Hindustani ragas and a tunesmith, having composed music for Tamil literary works such as Kamba Ramayanam, Nalayira Divya Prabandham and a thematic dance presentation titled ‘Seasonscape’ for the dance institution Tanjeon and Kalabharati of Montreal – Canada; his service towards popularizing new ragas in the realm of Classical music is commendable. He has set music for the compositions of Ambujam Krishna, that was published with notation in a book titled ‘Geethamala’. He has composed music for the thematic dance opera titled ‘Endru Thaniyum India Sudhandira Dhaagam’ for Vishwa Hindu Parishad, Madras. This was staged on August 15, 1997 to commemorate the 50th anniversary of India’s independence.
