Guatapé, Colombia 4k ¿Qué hacer? / Costo X Destino

While in Medellín, we had to visit the beautiful Guatapé, a small town located very close to the city. As soon as we arrived, we strolled through its charming and colorful streets. Each house has a baseboard (zócalo) depicting the occupation or passions of its inhabitants—true works of art that give this place a special touch. The street of umbrellas (Calle de las Sombrillas) is a must-see in the town center, perfect for photos and videos. That day, I ate the famous bandeja paisa at a restaurant overlooking the dam, offering beautiful views. Afterward, I visited Atypical House, a peculiar house built completely upside down, and from there I returned to the town center to visit the antique shop, a museum of antiques. That evening, I hopped on a motochiva, the quintessential mode of transportation in this small town, which can be used as a taxi or for a sightseeing tour to learn about Guatapé's history. We ended the day walking through the town center with a delicious coffee in hand. The next morning we woke up early to have breakfast at a café in the main square and then climbed the rock, a huge monolith considered the city's biggest tourist attraction. To top it all off, we took a boat trip across the dam, seeing the most important features of this artificial reservoir.
