GBV victim Kungawo Nyweba laid to rest
The slain 19-year-old Kungawo Nyweba was buried at her home village in Middledrift outside Alice in the Eastern Cape. Mourners gathered to say their final goodbyes to the young woman. Her remains were found burnt beyond recognition in Makhanda in July after she had been reported missing. Three people have been arrested for her death and are facing murder and kidnapping charges.
