In this hotly awaited plenary session titled "Is the Best Yet to be or Past?", which is part of the LKY School's 10th anniversary conference, LKY School Visiting Scholar Mr George Yeo discusses the impact of changes in our external environment on our sense of hope for the future of Singapore. Mr George Yeo is Visiting Scholar of the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy. He chairs the International Advisory Panel of the Nalanda University Governing Board; and is a Member of the Foundation Board of the World Economic Forum, the Berggruen Institute on Governance, the Asia-Pacific Advisory Board of Harvard Business School and the International Advisory Board of IESE Business School. From September 1988 to May 2011, he served 23 years in the Government of Singapore, and was Minister for Information and the Arts, Health, Trade and Industry, and Foreign Affairs till his defeat in the May 2011 General Election.
