[A] It's Okay To Relapse (comfort for drug/alcohol/self-harm etc. relapse)
Suitable for listeners of any gender. This audio contains no roleplay. This audio involves nonspecific references to addiction and relapse which hopefully will not be triggering, but please listen with caution and use your best judgement as to whether this audio is right for you. Here's an audio to help comfort and encourage you after you've had a relapse. I've deliberately left it vague and nonspecific as to the subject, so it can help you with any kind of addictive behaviour (particularly drugs, alcohol and self-harm, but other things can work too). In the audio, I assure you that it's okay you've relapsed, it's a common thing many people experience on the path to recovery and it doesn't make you a bad person, weak or a failure. I frame relapse as a setback and a learning experience, an opportunity to examine what caused the relapse and how to avoid that in the future. I talk a bit about guilt, shame and disappointment, and how those feelings can motivate us to make changes and be better. I also talk about the importance of support; I highly recommend going to rehab, talking with a therapist and accepting help from friends, family, loved ones, support groups and communities. You don't have to do this alone, and you're much more likely to succeed and stay on top of your recovery if you lean on others. You can do this.
