The valet's dexterity quickly transcended the limits of the parking lot and became an internet phenomenon. Some videos look like movie scenes and leave viewers convinced that something will go wrong at any moment. However, the maneuvers always end up going perfectly. The videos show Flávio parking vehicles of different sizes in extremely small spaces. He himself says that it was his clients and colleagues who encouraged him to share the footage on social media. Although the seats are cramped, the real challenge begins before you even get there. Around 80 cars pass through the lot every day, not counting the countless maneuvers needed to remove each vehicle. Often, to deliver a car to its owner, several others need to be moved, in a true game of strategy. Each maneuver demands absolute precision. At first glance, it seems like an extremely complicated task, but for those who perform it daily, everything becomes automatic. Experience and practice allow valets to perform millimeter-precise movements quickly and safely, conveying confidence to customers. Carla, one of the clients, admits that she never imagined the puzzle that happens inside the garage. What impressed her most was the speed with which the valets climb the ramp and park the vehicles. Another driver sums up the feeling of many drivers: she hands over the keys and prefers to leave the work in the hands of those who know how, confessing that parking in that space is simply not her forte. In a city like São Paulo, where almost ten million vehicles circulate for approximately 11.9 million inhabitants, finding a parking space is already a challenge. Taking advantage of it requires even more skill, especially when available spaces are increasingly limited. Those watching the maneuvers from the outside often end up stopping to watch. Some admire the precision of the movements and recognize that that level of control is only possible with a lot of training. Customer praise is constant. To work as a valet, it's not enough to know how to drive. The secret lies in daily practice and continuous training. According to Flávio, many professionals arrive with decades of driving experience, but are intimidated on the first day because of the ramp's incline and the demands of the maneuvers. Flávio has been doing this job for about a year. He remembers that on the first day, he thought he wouldn't come back because of the difficulty of the work. However, he persisted, gained confidence, and over time, began to perform the maneuvers naturally. Today he assures that everything happens almost automatically, although he recognizes that the job requires great concentration and is not for everyone. Currently, it takes him, on average, between 30 and 40 seconds to remove a car from the parking lot entrance and park it on the third and final floor. For him, however, the biggest challenge isn't just driving: it's coordinating the movements of all the other vehicles.
