In this interview, we trace Anthony Kingsley's personal journey with the Alexander Technique, beginning with his first encounter in 1979. We explore his training in Israel and follow his path as a teacher and assistant in several training schools in London, culminating in the establishment of his own training course in 2004. Anthony shares the story of how he discovered the technique, his formative experiences in training, and the evolution of his understanding and practice. As a trained psychotherapist, he developed a unique trauma-informed and emotionally literate approach to the Alexander Technique. About the Interviewer: Ruth Hommelsheim is an Alexander Technique teacher and photographer based in London. After many years in the art world, she came to London to train with Anthony Kingsley at the Alexander Teacher Training School (ATTS) and graduated in March 2023. She runs a private practice in Shepherds Bush and is now also an assistant at ATTS. Her journey with the Alexander Technique has been deeply transformative, inspiring her to explore and share the profound wisdom of this practice.
