It's time for a new adventure! After having trekked through many of these games time and time again, I wanted to have one final ultimate challenge in the vanilla mainline Pokemon franchise... Can I beat, every SINGLE Pokemon game in chronological order in a hardcore nuzlocke setting, and without reusing a single Pokemon in any other game? For instance, if I use Bulbasaur in Red version, I won't be able to use it in Blue, Yellow, Firered, or any other game. Q. What about games like FR/LG where you get a starter that you've already used, do you fail the challenge? A. No, since the nuzlocke doesn't start until I receive Pokeballs, I simply go out and capture an unused Pokemon at full HP and continue after boxing the starter. Q. Are you choosing your encounters? A. Yes, I have a document where I've laid out encounters for the entire franchise. But isn't that against the spirit of a nuzlocke? I don't think so, I think the battles are the main challenge, after all, I can just reset the run to get the right first encounter, but that would make producing these videos a lot slower and less enjoyable.
