Landscape Oil Painting Red Poppies Flowers How to Mix Pinks Poppy Petals Full Tutorial Demonstration

In this video, I show in detail how I did one of the red poppy flowers in my "Red Poppies III" painting, which is oil on a 12 by 16 inch canvas! Despite its small size, this was by far the most difficult painting I have ever done! Besides painting the thousands of plants, weeds, and grass... and poppies of course, another challenge I had was creating shades of pink! This video is split into 2 sections, the first stage of doing the poppy, which was wet on wet painting! This stage let me get softer brush strokes since the paint was wet and I could dry brush too! The second was wet on dry, which let me add highlights and more sharper brush strokes... Plus semi translucent layers!
