🏮 The sight of the Yi Peng (lantern) launch is recognized as a World Nightscape Heritage site! This is Chiang Mai's Loy Krathong Festival, one of Thailand's largest festivals! However, this time I deliberately chose not to participate in the Yi Peng launch, and instead spent two consecutive days walking around the town 🚶‍♀️💨 Lanterns filled with wishes, solemn Buddhist ceremonies, stupas illuminated by candlelight— There, I witnessed the quiet and beautiful festival cherished by the local people.
