Ypres in old WW1 Postcards
For our latest Old Front Line Podcast Supporter's evening I gave a talk on the Belgian city of Ypres as seen through WW1 postcards. We look at the city before, during and after the war, and see how a "medieval gem of Europe" was reduced to rubble by 1918. We also look at the Aftermath of the Great War in Flanders and end with how WW1 met WW2 as the old battlefields saw the arrival of soldiers once more.
