This is the incredible story of Maciej Berbeka, a man who wrote the history of winter mountaineering in the Himalayas... and a man who missed the summit by just 26 meters on Broad Peak. After discovering he was no longer the first man to reach an 8,000-meter peak in the Karakoram in the most difficult conditions, winter, Berbeka withdrew into himself and for 25 long years abandoned "state" mountaineering, the kind of large expeditions.
