Heath Care and Hospitals (National Town Hall #17)

This town hall describes the "MVI Continuum" that offers a framework for hospitals and health system leaders to follow as they prepare for, respond to, recover from and mitigate MVIs (to include MVIs within the MCI framework), lists the ten collaborators - including hospitals and health systems—that are essential to MVI planning and responses, describes how law enforcement, victim/survivor and allied services can coordinate with hospitals to prepare for MVIs and strengthen survivors' behavioral and mental health, and victim support efforts, and identifies effective strategies that help leaders recognize secondary trauma among their staff and provide supportive services to mitigate it.
