Victorian High country - Tom Groggin, MT Pinnibar, Wheelers creek hut HGT Vlog

The goodbye trip for the Fortuner. I couldn’t think of a more fitting last trip then the Victorian High Country. Also my good mate Damo is about to pick up his new rig as well. So the perfect way to farewell the old work horses. The plan – over 4 days from the Hunter Valley NSW. Part 1 – McKillops Bridge. Snowy River National park. Part 3 – Deddick Track, Mt Joan Staircase & Jacksons Crossing. Snowy River National Park. Part 3 – Limestone Creek Track to Davies plain and Tom Groggin. Alpine National Park. Part 4 – Tom Groggin, Mt Pinnabar and Wheelers Creek Hut. Alpine National park. In part four we were have resolved the issues with the Ranger, re stocked supplies in Jindabyne. We headed back to Tom Groggin, had a swim while letting the brakes cool down before crossing the Murray River back into Victoria and the Alpine NP. Heading towards Mt Pinnibar it is a massive climb that takes you up to a massive 1700m + to the Trig point. From up there it is absolutely spectacular views. From here we headed down to the old Wheelers Hut site. Wheelers creek was a great place to sit and have a few beers for the afternoon. We camped the night, before heading home in the morning.
