Polaris makes a really good product and have been frontrunners in the UTV market for a long time. The Ranger 500 is a great UTV and suitable for all kinds of utility work, and you can find them for decent prices. But one common issue with these otherwise durable and sturdy units is the shifting mechanism. My 2005 Ranger would bind going between gears and would not shift in high gear, so I decided to investigate. This second video walks you through the repair on the Polaris Ranger 500 UTV.
