All Change in Ryde | City Bus Manager | South Coast

I'm back, after two weeks of absence while I recovered from a nasty bout of heat sickness that came on shortly after the last upload due to the recent intense heatwave here in the UK. I have finally recovered to the point that my voice is fine for the sort of sustained voice over that these videos require of me. Let's get straight back into the action following on from the last video where we gave Cowes's town network a revamp, it's now Ryde's turn. We'll be adding a new route to the network in the form of the 32 running between Havenstreet steam railway station to Ryde Bus Station, finally giving the village a direct link to Ryde town centre. We'll also be replacing the Mellor Stratas used on routes 31, 33, 34, and 39. In time, all of the Stratas will be moved on to other duties, some may remain on the island and others may move to the mainland. Their new duties will likely take the form of low frequency village connections rather than the town services they were bought for and then quickly became insufficient to operate. Furthermore, the small outstation at SV(R) will in time be closed with the fleet of Enviro200 MMCs there being incorporated into the new Ryde Town fleet at SV, with any excess from that fleet being integrated into the all-island small buses pool.
