Mallory Park Race Circuit

Situated in the village of Kirby Mallory, Leicestershire is Mallory Park, a club circuit built in 1956 around a lake on the site of a former grass track. Situated in the village of Kirby Mallory, Leicestershire. It’s one of the shorter racetracks in the UK with a track length of 1.35 miles with optional chicanes for cars and motorcycles. It was originally an oval circuit with a later extension added incorporating a 180 hair pin. Known as Shaw’s hairpin, it is the tightest corner of any UK track. The track has attracted the likes of Jim Clark, Graham Hill, Jack Brabham and John Surtess. When making this video, the fastest lap time was 46.692s set by Michael Rutter.
