Pawnee Pass Trail to Cascade to Crater Lake [CeleGREAT OUTDOORS]

If you like checking out beautiful lakes, and don't mind hiking a little to see them, then you need to hit up the Pawnee Pass Trail, climb over the Pawnee Pass, hike down Cascade Trail, and then hit up Crater Lake Trail. You'll pass the following lakes, along the way: Lake Isabelle, Pawnee Lake, Mirror Lake, and Crater Lake. And, before you leave the Brainard Lake Recreation Area, be sure to check out Red Rock Lake, which is covered with lily pads! Going over the pass is the hardest part of this trail, but just take your time, endure the wind, make sure you have enough food and water, and it'll all be worth it. You can camp out here, you just have to get a permit ahead of time to do so, which can help lessen the strain on your body. And there is a day use fee ($11) to park in the Brainard Lake Recreation area. HOW DO YOU GET HERE? One, if you want to hike out and back, like I did, it's going to take at least 13 hours. And two, this parking lot fills up quick! There are bathrooms here though, if you need them.
