Coco Construction News Update. Plus: Could DCA Build Monstropolis?

Coco construction work continues and this video goes into detail, plus could DCA build their version of Monstropolis? Where may it go and why? Click on the link to watch the video. Notes from the video. This episode brings together several connected stories, including: Disneyland featured a water ride when it opened in 1955, but that ride style did not originate in Anaheim. Known as “Canal” or “Old Mill” rides, versions of this classic attraction can still be found in traditional amusement parks. Kennywood in West Mifflin, Pennsylvania, has one that opened in 1901. “It’s a small world” was a groundbreaking attraction that has been recreated at Disney Parks around the world. I covered “it’s a small world” in a previous video, and I’ll include a link in the Show Notes. Mexico was an opening-day pavilion at EPCOT Center and stood apart because it was entirely indoors. Entering the pavilion felt like stepping into the Yucatán at night, with waterfront dining and an active volcano in the distance. Its ride was high-capacity and efficient, using pump-driven water to move individual boats through the flume. Years after its debut, the show was enhanced with Donald Duck and the Three Caballeros.
