RED MARAUDER toughs it out from Smarty as only four horses finish the 2001 Grand National at Aintree

Red Marauder and jockey Richard Guest win a memorable renewal of the #GrandNational Loose horses helped ensure that only four horses managed to complete the course and two of those were remounted to do (a practise that has now been banned), but all 40 horses and jockey returned without major injuries despite the high number who failed to complete the course.
