The promo aired on July 2, 1983, and the film itself was broadcast on July 9, 1983. “White Love” was made to commemorate the tenth film collaboration between Momoe Yamaguchi and Tomokazu Miura. When it was originally released in Japanese cinemas, it was shown as a double feature with “Troubleman: Warau to Korosu zo,” starring singer Eigo Kawashima. The protagonist of that film had the extraordinary name 岩岩岩岩, pronounced “Iwaiwa Gangan.” It is difficult for any other information about the double feature to compete with that name. “White Love” opened in Japan on August 4, 1979.
