The community of Rittman honors fallen officer Sgt. Scott Ries at funeral
Hundreds of family members, friends, community members and law enforcement officers gathered Friday to honor the life and service of Rittman Police Sgt. Scott Ries, who was killed in the line of duty less than a week earlier. At the funeral, held at Northside Christian Church in Wadsworth, Ries was remembered as a devoted husband, father, friend and officer who dedicated his life to protecting others.
