Naga & Meetei Challenge to Kuki: Lumphu Tounagumsi Open Tousi, Stop Cowards Act, Face Us Openly

The people of Manipur, including Meetei and Naga communities, jointly protested against alleged acts of torture by Kuki militants against indigenous people. Indigenous communities of Manipur, including the Meetei, Tangkhul, Kabui, Liangmai, and other Naga groups, demanded the resignation of Deputy Chief Minister Nemcha Kipgen, who they claim is associated with the wife of a Kuki militant leader. The protesters stated that indigenous communities are united against Kuki militancy and raised slogans such as: "Stop the torture of people by Kuki militants," "Manipuri indigenous people unite," and "Long live Manipur." Meetei and Naga participants also reportedly expressed the view that Kuki militants should stop attacking civilians and face their opponents directly rather than acting from concealment.
