Lisbon’s GLORIOUS Funicular | Elevador da Glória | Full On-Ride POV

Start off this Christmas week right. Today we're going back to Lisbon, Portugal's capital, a city built upon 7 hills. To get up and down these hills, the people of Lisbon rely on a number of unique public transportation systems, such as the world's steepest tram and some really old elevators. Today we are riding the Elevador da Glória, a funicular built in 1885 that links the Restauradores district with the Jardim de São Pedro de Alcântara 44 meters higher. The ride aboard one of these classic funiculars takes about two minutes. It's loud, it's rickety, and it's history. Trains Are Awesome!
