Shere Khan - J/92 surfing in heavy weather
Forecast promised winds around 15m/s (30 knots) and waves up to 4 meters (13 feet), so we decided to go surfing with J/92 Shere Khan. Follow us on Facebook: / sherekhansailing Second reef on the main and smallest spinnaker we had was almost too much for gusts going up to 20m/s (40 knots). Despite relatively heavy weather, we did not use harnesses - water was not too cold, and while moving over 10 knots, being on the water but attached to the boat can be more dangerous than waiting to be picked up.
