The Beach Boys - The Heroes & Villains (tragiclifeform Mix) - 2021

So... seeing as how well the SMiLE video did, I only thought it would be appropriate to release this; my mix of Heroes & Villains by The Beach Boys. Now, why didn't this get put on the actual album? Well, that's because it simply wasn't made at the time. I initially did want to rearrange a version of Heroes & Villains for the album, as many people had done before, but whenever I would look at the simply MASSIVE amount of material (over 34 separate tracks on the SMiLE Sessions box set are dedicated to material created just for this one song, and that's not even counting the tapes that have been lost or destroyed), I would get overwhelmed by the sheer size of it all. And so, I settled for the plain vanilla version of the track for the album. But there was always an urge to attempt to create my personal version of Heroes & Villains. And so that's what I did. Granted, it's still rough in places, and I did have to pull a section from Sonny Wilson's mix to achieve the sound I wanted (I am truly sorry for this heinous crime), but, I can tell you, this is one of those rare projects that I'm proud of myself for.
