Not the Margate Meltdown 2026 Pt1

Thanet District Council shot themselves in the foot once again by asking way too much to close the road between the clocktower and the top of Fort Hill....and so the bikers just came anyway and brought plenty of much needed revenue into the town. The day was swelteringly hot. I've done maybe 15 of these events and this was far and away the closest we've ever got to an actual meltdown, in more ways than one. The bikers were great sports, as ever. But allowing the roads to stay open knowing thousands of motorcyclists were going to be descending on Margate was beyond idiotic on behalf of whoever made the decision to whack up costs in the middle of an unprecedent cost of living crisis.
