The hyoid bone has a lot of muscles attached to it. That's one of the reasons that it exists, I guess. Let's have a look at the infrahyoid strap muscles of the neck (sternohyoid, thyrohyoid, sternothyroid and omohyoid) and the suprahyoid muscles (mylohyoid, geniohyoid, stylohyoid and digastric).
