He was found guilty and sentenced to life imprisonment and chemical castration. As a reminder, this case caused a great stir. After the child went missing and a long search, her body, stabbed, was found in a neighbor's shed. Nurzhan Yerezhepov, father of the deceased: "We'd known this pedophile since childhood; we never thought he'd commit such a crime. My daughter went to the store that day, and he took her to his house, asking, 'I'll give you 150 tenge for ice cream.' My daughter trusted him and went. After my daughter went missing, we went to his house three times." I couldn't even imagine he would commit such a crime. We will never forgive him, and Allah will never forgive him either. The convicted man will spend the rest of his life in a high-security facility, most likely the Black Berkut prison. A forensic examination revealed no mental disorder. According to the court, he was sane when he committed the crime. He is divorced and has children. He previously served almost 10 years for murder, and in early May of this year, he was sentenced to three years of restricted freedom for intentionally causing grievous bodily harm after attacking a man with an axe. Lawyers for the victim stated that they will not allow the convicted man to be released on parole in the future. The lawyers also intend to hold accountable the judge who sentenced him to probation earlier this year.
