Dunsany's œuvre includes many hundreds of published short stories, plays, novels and essays ******************************* SUMMARY OF THE LESSON 1- This story is an embodiment of determination, commitment, devotion, and tolerance. 2- Once, there is a discussion on the need of opportunity and determination in life. 3- Jorkens is sure that ‘Determination’ is necessary for success in life but Terbut disagrees. 4- Jorkens proves his viewpoint by narrating the story of Gorgios who has the wild idea of becoming the Court Acrobat. 5- Gorgios goes into politics and starts preaching his ambition and its importance for the glory of his country. 6- It takes him more than 60 years to materialize his desire and then a great ceremony is arranged to crown his success. ************************ SHORT QUESTIONS ************************ Q i: what was the subject discussed at the club?
