Statia Doet Weekend 2026, Community, Service, and Unity in St. Eustatius

Last weekend, the people of St. Eustatius came together for another successful Statia Doet Weekend, an island-wide initiative focused on volunteering, beautification, and community service. From painting and cleaning to restoring and improving different areas across the island, many residents, especially young people, showed up to make a difference. One of the special moments of the weekend was the recognition of the children of Alvin Courtar by Ms. Althea Merkman, honoring their family’s contribution and legacy within the community.
