Bought a 29k-Mile ZR2… and Immediately Tore It Apart
Nostalgic cars! we love them, but sometimes they take a lot of work to to get up to "spec". I bought a 29,000-mile 2004 Chevy Blazer ZR2 and immediately tore it completely apart. Low miles don’t always mean perfect — especially when rust is hiding underneath. This might be one of the lowest-mile ZR2s left, but the suspension told a very different story. In this video, I tear down the entire suspension, repair and eliminate rust, refinish the undercarriage, replace worn components, service every fluid, and bring the paint back to life with correction and ceramic coating. This isn’t a quick flip — it’s a full, detail-oriented restoration focused on doing things the right way and making this ZR2 look and drive like new again. If you enjoy real-world restorations, rare low-mile vehicles, and obsessive attention to detail, you’re in the right place.
