Casting Coasters with Shiny Powders! - Prop: Live from the Shop

On this live stream, Britt digs up the old shield coaster molds Bill made. Glow-in-the-dark, metal, and glitter powders are used to cast three unique coasters! For the sparkles, the live chat suggested I should try not dusting the mold. That way, the transparent mixture would be a little more noticeable, since the top wouldn’t be solid sparkles. I’ll have to try this! I ended up sealing all the coasters with a few layers of clear coat. This does reduce the awesome look of cold casted metal. Normally, I’d keep the metal powder finish with a Metalizer Lacquer, but I wanted the coaster to be protected from lots of use.
