Magnus Carlsen's Sveshnikov Smashes Jose Martinez in 25 Moves

Featured is a sharp chess game between Jose Martinez and Magnus Carlsen from the 2025 Speed Chess Championship. In response to Carlsen's Sicilian Sveshnikov, Martinez chooses 7. Nd5 and follows the structural change, where each side has a pawn majority, with the committal g4. Carlsen first maneuvers around the invasive d5 pawn, but after a blunder by Martinez, he captures it.
