ENERGODAR - A FRONTLINE TOWN OF PEACEFUL NUCLEAR POWER: Today we worked in Energodar, a nuclear power town located just five kilometers from Ukraine, literally across the swampy Kakhovka Reservoir. Because of this proximity, absolutely everything—artillery, missiles, drones—reaches here. The day before our arrival, three drones flew into a building in the center of Energodar. Despite all this, the town lives a completely peaceful life, repairs and restoration are actively underway, shops and businesses are open, and schools are open in person. We had the opportunity to speak with the mayor and the rector of the Holy Epiphany Church, and also visit the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant, which is currently not generating electricity, but all power units and systems are functioning and securely protected by air defense systems.
