Highly intelligent and motivated, she quickly earned the nickname "Sherlock" from the younger male officers who thought she was a bit of a swot. However, Holmes proved she was formidable, never taking no for an answer and occasionally using her charm to get exactly what she wanted. From going undercover in a women's prison, to fearlessly locking horns with the aggressive D.S. Boulton, she was a breath of fresh air as a strictly honest copper. Her discovery of D.S. Don Beech's corruption and the subsequent C.I.B. investigation into the station proved to be the ultimate insult, driving her to leave Sun Hill with her integrity intact.
