In it, I explore the symbolic and historical presence of cashew, from the first records made by André Thevet in the 16th century to its multiple representations in popular imagination, literature, and folklore, especially in the traditions collected by Câmara Cascudo, as well as its presence in the cultural heritage of both Indigenous and European settlers, through the lens of Gilberto Freyre. The video also presents the perfumes Isolda Cajueiro and Isolda Flor de Cajueiro, created by Phebo in partnership with the Isolda brand, exploring how cashew inspires narratives of Brazilianness and sensuality.
