ABOUT THE SEAT ADAPTION: I have been asked why I did not attach Velcro strips to the kayak deck to secure the kayak seat. I did think about attaching Velcro strips to the drop stitch deck, however, my solo seating position alters depending on the amount of kit and activity I am carrying out. Also, the gel pad adds to the comfort on long distance paddles. I also have another kayak with a D/S base, so the pad is transferable between the kayaks.
