Petrolhead and Showa-era F1 mechanic, Tetsuo Tsugawa, also known as "Tetsuji," and former Formula Nippon driver Akira Ishikawa share their car impressions. They chose the MAZDA2 SKYACTIV-D 6MT Sport+. This MAZDA2 SKYACTIV-D is equipped with the clean diesel engine SKYACTIV-D. As you may know, this diesel model is no longer in production. Why did they select the diesel model? Well, we both wanted to try it out, so please forgive us. Mazda's distinctive design is very popular in Europe. And despite being positioned as a compact family saloon, the two were pleased to note that "it drives quite well." They suggested that the G-Vector Control and suspension might be a good match, with Ishikawa saying, "It's not a sports car, but it corners really well." Tetsuji continues, "Even when driving on tight mountain roads, the car didn't feel squishy at all. This really shows the true power of Skyactiv's driving performance."
