Bonsai 2024-40 - Johannestag - der heilige Tag des Rückschnitts!

June is approaching its final stretch, and one name, one day, one measure, or one action is very, very high on the agenda for the small trees in their pots. June 24th is St. John's Day, or St. John's Day, or affectionately abbreviated to "Johanni," the holy day of pruning. Of course, that also applies to my garden and my projects. So, grab your scissors and pliers and get rid of the green stuff on the little trees! But stop! Generally, everything to two shoots or leaves? You can do it, you have to, but it's better not to. Because even if you're gripped by the urge to prune, it's okay to spare a thought or two about the meaning and purpose of the pruning and its further development. This video, which also offers a walkthrough of many well-known projects, goes from not pruning at all, to doing it cautiously, to significantly more, to completely defoliating the tree. Have fun! More interested in small trees? No problem! You can now buy my book "Bock auf Bonsai" everywhere or order it here, for example: Amazon: https://www.amazon.de/-/en/Holger-Rie...
