A family in Santa Fe found an unusual solution when they were told they had to leave their rented house: they bought a prefabricated home online from China, imported it to Argentina, and installed it on their own land. The house arrived in a shipping container, practically finished, with 72 square meters of living space, three bedrooms, a bathroom, an integrated kitchen, and utilities ready to be connected. According to Leticia Leites, the alternative was more economical than traditional or locally built modular homes. The entire process took four months, and the installation surprised everyone: the module was unfolded in just one hour with the help of family and friends. "The best part was feeling like the month was over and we didn't have to pay rent anymore," she said.
